Paddy Gifford
Associate Director, Delivery
Paddy is an Associate Director in the Delivery Team and acts as the client partner to Syzygy's oldest client, abrdn, helping guide its carbon reduction ambitions across a range of fund portfolios and asset classes.
He is a mechanical engineer with experience of technically challenging projects in the built environment, he has led on projects to identify and assess site-wide decarbonisation initiatives on major industrial assets and managed the design and installation of numerous large PV Solar developments across the country.
Paddy has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Sustainable Energy.  Before joining Syzygy, he spent four years honing his engineering consultancy experience working at Hoare Lea LLP where he helped design cutting-edge laboratories for the world’s top universities and research facilities.
An enthusiastic rugby player who also enjoys sailing. He is a handy carpenter, producing bespoke furniture for friends and family, as well as secretary to the Head of Wellbeing, our office dog Bramble.Â
