Craig worked with John and the Syzygy team on their growth strategy in 2016/2017, and is now back to support them on their next stage of their journey.
He's a qualified accountant and entrepreneur who has spent the last 30 years building a wide range of businesses across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, retail, software, security, geospatial surveying, semi-conductors, and leisure. The common theme has been strategy development, building teams, developing structures, systems and processes to operate at optimum efficiently.
Most recently, Craig was the founding CEO of The Wave in Bristol, the world's first inland surf park using Wavegarden technology. He led this exciting project through the initial £30m funding phase, construction and the first 3 years of operations delivering an amazing experience to over 250,000 people per year and employing over 300 staff. He also oversaw the agreement to take the Wave off-grid with a deal to build a 7 acre solar and battery array to power the waves, supported by Syzygy. He exited having sold the business to a new private equity shareholder.
Craig has both run a number of start-up businesses and worked on turnaround of some global businesses. Managing positive change has been at the heart of all engagements.
He lives near Bath and is passionate about sustainability. He loves skiing and sailing and shows enthusiasm over talent in his hobbies learning the piano, doing yoga and with his choir!
