Let’s make some Waves

It’s chilly out there, but the surf is most definitely up!

We have been working with our friends at The Wave on a radical project. In surfing terms this is most definitely a hang-ten!!

Sustainable business requires that the you don't make a loss in any of these three elements – profit, people or the planet. The Wave has committed to this 'triple bottom line' approach.

Their commitment to delivering these co-joined objectives has led us to developing one of the most exciting renewable energy, storage and EV charging projects in the UK to date. Showcasing the integration of several complimentary technologies: A 3.5MWp Solar Farm, early stage solar tech, battery storage (Vanadium Flow), EV charging and solar car ports - all connected into and supplying this fantastic surfing destination.

We are pleased that we can now go out to the market to find a brilliant contractor to build out this amazing project which is being funded by The Wave and the European Commission.

We're supporting The Wave in their quest for a suitably experienced and competent contractor in relation to the design, supply and installation services of a multi-technology, solar PV, energy storage and EV mobility hub development.

The proposed works includes a 2.97MW ground mounted array, solar car ports, a solar smart flower, EV, fast charging mobility hub and a 130kW, 380 kWh flow energy storage system.

The project is receiving joint funding from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is the Managing Authority for the European Regional Development Fund.

Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fud helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which support innovation, businesses, creates jobs and local community regenerations.
