More big news for Team Syzygy as we’ve been shortlisted for not one, but TWO prestigious UK Green Business Awards 2023!
The awards recognise business which are at the forefront of the UK's burgeoning green economy and its transition to a net zero and sustainable economy, so we’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for the ‘Consultancy of the Year’ category.
Meanwhile our work on Metrocentre the 2m sq ft shopping centre in Gateshead, to decarbonise the asset through the installation of rooftop solar, solar PV car ports, and EV charging ports has also been shortlisted for the ‘Renewable Energy Project of the Year’ category.

Syzygy has delivered over 80% of the landlord funded solar projects on commercial buildings in the UK. Through its entrepreneurialism and determination, it was the first specialist consultancy to provide independent advice to the commercial real estate sector on delivering on-site renewable energy and low carbon technology solutions.
Syzygy had to pioneer the rules of engagement for PV and EV solutions, encourage clients to embrace them, and educate valuation teams on the benefits of green tech to secure their buy-in. All of these processes and structures are now the market norm because of Syzygy.
Syzygy’s efforts were essential in enabling landlords to build a commercial case to overcome the rigid structure on FRI leased assets and enable them to still fund projects which would not pay off financially until the extreme long term. Without these significant breakthroughs, the industry would be significantly farther from its net zero target.
