Jason Blanchard
Associate Director, Technical Asset Management
As Head of Technical Asset Management, Jason oversees the maintenance and monitoring activities for the ongoing operations of Syzygy’s portfolio of Solar PV and EV Charging infrastructure assets under management.
Jason has extensive experience in renewable energy, both in operations and system design, which is a huge benefit to Syzygy’s clients exploring the renewable energy potential of their portfolios. He's passionate about obtaining optimal sustainable solutions and often collaborates with the project development team on the increasingly innovative projects we work on.
He graduated with a Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Exeter and is now a Chartered Energy Engineer with the Energy Institute. Jason is committed to the community energy movement, volunteering in his spare time as a technical director for South East London Community Energy (SELCE). He previously worked in the community-owned renewable energy sector, acting as the technical lead for 45 MWp of operational solar farms around the UK. He was also a technical consultant across a range of renewable energy technologies including solar PV, heat pumps, battery storage and EV charging.
Jason adores Cornwall and makes regular trips there, as well as visiting National Trust properties. He loves playing football and is a Chelsea FC fan.
